Stanford researchers have developed an experimental molecule that turns the cancer-driving BCL6 protein into a trigger for cell death, completely eliminating aggressive lymphoma tumors in mice within 11 days.
The molecule, called TCIP3, activates genes that cause cancer cells to self-destruct. The approach has not yet been tested in humans and requires further research before clinical trials.
