AMD has introduced AMD Helion, a rack-scale infrastructure design for agentic AI.
Built on an Open Compute Project (OCP) design, Helion pairs 6th Gen AMD EPYC processors with AMD Instinct MI350P GPU nodes, letting customers balance CPU and GPU capacity to suit their AI agent workloads. Configurations are being developed with partners including Dell, HPE, Lenovo and Supermicro and are planned for November, and AMD will also contribute the Helion specification to OCP.
