OpenAI announced three major scientific discoveries made by its AI models across mathematics, computer science, and physics.

The results include a proposed resolution of the Kakeya conjecture, a disproof of the Exponential Time Hypothesis (ETH), and mathematical existence proofs involving quantum chromodynamics and Yang–Mills theory. While some proofs have undergone formal computer verification, independent scientific review is still underway.
