OpenAI has released new research data revealing how ChatGPT is used across the global workforce.

Covering 165 work activities across nearly 100 countries, the dataset examines AI adoption in education, marketing, software development, and business analytics. Across 74 consistently tracked countries, the average share of work-related messages accounted for by the top 10 activities declined from 56% in Q1 2025 to 51.1% in Q3 2026, suggesting increasingly diverse professional use cases.
