U.S. President Donald Trump has directed federal agencies to use “Super Intelligence” (SI) instead of “Artificial Intelligence” in official communications.

The new terminology is already appearing in White House materials released on September 29, 2026, including documents related to America.gov, with agencies reportedly instructed to adopt it across official government usage. The change is primarily a government rebranding of the term, rather than a new technical definition of AI itself.
