IBM published a study showing that AI adoption in US primary and secondary schools is outpacing institutional readiness and training.

In the survey of 2,048 educators and parents, 76% of middle-school educators and 73% of high-school educators reported at least weekly classroom AI use, while only 20% of educators had received extensive AI training. IBM also announced a K-12 AI Leaders Fellowship that will begin with up to 100 school leaders in the greater New York City area this fall.
