Google is expanding a program offering advanced artificial intelligence features of Gemini to students. Eligible students can access advanced Gemini models, Deep Research, NotebookLM, and additional storage benefits for a limited time, free of charge.

The GIMP team shared new features planned for GIMP 3.4 in the August 2026 development update. Work is underway on improved CMYK support, filter usage in layer masks, vector layer masks, and a new XCF file format.
