Anthropic’s latest research finds that today’s robots can already perform about 74% of physical job tasks in the US under at least some conditions.
Cost remains the biggest constraint, however, with robots currently competitive with human labor for only 0.3% of job tasks, while driving, warehousing and logistics are among the most exposed fields. Combined with large language models, the study estimates that roughly 81% of work tasks are exposed to some form of automation.
