Mastercard published a report predicting that more than one in 10 online shoppers could routinely delegate purchasing and payments to AI agents by 2030.
Recurring transactions involving groceries, medicines and subscriptions are expected to be among the first use cases. In a survey of 26,000 people across 13 countries, 27% of teenagers said they were likely to use a fully AI-run shopping assistant, compared with 16% of parents.
