Microsoft has introduced MAI-Transcribe-2-Streaming, a new Microsoft Foundry model that converts live speech into text in real time.
It supports automatic language detection across 60 languages and begins producing partial transcripts within a few hundred milliseconds, refining them as more context arrives. Microsoft says words can appear in the transcript in around 320 ms in many cases, making it suitable for voice agents, live captions and other responsive speech applications.
