The University of Cambridge and its partners published the first complete central-nervous-system connectome of a male fruit fly, covering both the brain and ventral nerve cord.

Comparison with female connectomes identified 262 sex-specific and 114 sexually dimorphic cell types, together representing 4.8% of the central brain. The dataset is openly available for research into how neural circuits produce behaviour.
