Google Play is introducing two new quality requirements focused on reducing Android app memory usage and automatically restoring sign-in during device migration. 

Memory, bitmap, and DEX optimization thresholds will take effect in February 2027, followed by the Restore Credentials API-based Zero-Tap Sign-In standard in April 2027. Apps that fail to comply may face reduced Play Store visibility and publishing capabilities.
