Norway’s government plans to temporarily ban AI-powered smart glasses in selected public spaces over privacy concerns.

The proposed restrictions could cover parks, beaches, schools, museums, healthcare facilities and gyms where people may be photographed, filmed or recorded without their knowledge. An expert group will also work on recommendations for permanent national regulation.
