OpenAI is positioning Codex as a platform allowing developers to integrate it into their own products and workflows. The new structure facilitates the operation of coding agents across various tools through Codex SDK, an application server, Agent Skills, and MCP integration.

OpenAI has brought the ChatGPT Apple Messages extension to users. Mac users can now search, summarize conversations, draft replies, and send messages directly within Messages. The feature is available in ChatGPT Work and Codex.
