Major European payment platforms have joined forces under the European Network for Payments (ENP) to build a shared payment infrastructure across the continent.
Based in Madrid, the network will connect services including Bancomat, Bizum, Wero, MB WAY and Vipps MobilePay, enabling cross-border peer-to-peer, in-store and online payments. Covering around 130 million users across 13 European countries, the initiative aims to strengthen Europe’s payment sovereignty and reduce reliance on US-based networks such as Visa and Mastercard.
