MIT researchers developed the HardFlow algorithm to ensure that generative AI follows strict requirements in safety-critical tasks.
HardFlow enforces mandatory constraints on the final output instead of restricting every intermediate step and can be applied to pretrained models without retraining. In robotics, maze-navigation and image-editing experiments, it achieved perfect constraint satisfaction while producing higher-quality solutions than existing methods.
