Microsoft has filed a patent application for an AI system capable of modifying live video and audio in near real time.

The technology can replace or remove spoken words while adjusting facial expressions and lip movements to match the modified speech. Potential applications include live translation and speech enhancement, although the system has not been announced as a commercial product.
