Microsoft is replacing individual storage quotas in Microsoft 365 subscriptions with shared cloud storage.

Family and Premium plans pool 2 TB across the subscriber and up to five members, while Pro offers 5 TB, and files stay private unless shared. New subscriptions get the shared model from October 8, 2026, and existing Family and Premium subscribers will switch at their first renewal on or after May 2, 2027.
