Apple has announced HomePod mini 2, the next generation of its compact smart speaker.

Powered by the Apple S10 chip, it analyzes music in real time to tune its sound, while the new Sound Glow top surface lights up in time with bass and treble. Priced at $149 in the US, it's available to pre-order in over 24 countries and regions ahead of its October 30 launch, with Siri AI arriving later in English through a software update.
