Apple has introduced HomeView, a new device built for the home.

Pairing a 7-inch display with a speaker base, it uses facial recognition to give up to six people their own Home Screen, and brings music, FaceTime and smart home controls together with the new Siri AI. Available in tabletop and wall-mounted models for $299 in the US, it's up for pre-order now and arrives November 13 in markets including the US, UK, Canada, India, Australia and New Zealand, though it won't be sold in the EU.
