Anthropic has introduced OSS Scanner, a free AI-powered vulnerability detection service for open-source software.

Using advanced models including Claude Mythos, the service periodically scans code and provides maintainers with vulnerability reports, technical explanations, and suggested fixes. Eligible projects can opt in to the service, with AI-generated findings delivered without human review.
