An Imperial College London-led study found that AI can identify hidden structural heart disease from routine ECG recordings in under two seconds.
The system detected up to 81% of patients with heart failure and up to 90% of those with a common form of heart-valve disease. Researchers say it could help prioritise patients who are most likely to require further investigation.
