WhatsApp has announced guest calling, which lets people without an account join its voice and video calls.

Guests join from a computer browser using a link created by the host and wait in a waiting room to be let in. Calls are free, end-to-end encrypted, have no time limit and support up to 32 people. Guests can't see participants' phone numbers, send messages or add others, and Google and Outlook calendar integration is coming later this year.
