The International Atomic Energy Agency projected that global nuclear-power capacity could more than triple by 2060.
Under its high-growth scenario, capacity would rise from 377.1 gigawatts in 2025 to 1,284 gigawatts in 2060. The agency estimates that small modular reactors could account for 28% of the new capacity.
