Microsoft has redesigned the Windows 11 Photos app with an entirely new gallery, editor, and image viewer.
The update brings together photos from PCs, OneDrive, and iCloud, while adding natural-language search, object removal, and AI-powered lighting adjustments. The editor now launches 25% faster, and the viewer opens images up to 30% faster, with a wider rollout planned later in 2026 after the Windows Insider release.
