Michelangelus, a typeface inspired by Michelangelo's handwriting, is being added to the font library in Microsoft 365 apps.

Commissioned by the Fabbrica di San Pietro, which looks after the basilica, and designed by Italian agency Studiogusto, it draws on the artist's manuscripts in the Vatican archives and his inscription on the Pietà. Created to mark the 400th anniversary of the consecration of St. Peter's Basilica, it comes in four styles with more than 500 characters each and is also available from the Microsoft Download Center.
