OpenAI has launched ChatGPT Images 2.6, its latest image generation model, introducing animated GIF support.

The model generates images 50% faster than its predecessor, creates looping animations from prompts or sketches, and better preserves visual consistency across edits. Available across all subscription tiers in ChatGPT and Codex, it also introduces Flare and Sunburst API models for developers.
